I am Graves Carey and welcome to my page. Knowledge and Experience are what I offer to my clients. I have been a Realtor since 2001 and in 2006 I earned my Real Estate Brokers License. As a native of Sussex County, I have knowledge of the area.
I have been working with my family in the real estate business since I earned my real estate license. This has given me a lot of knowledge of the business. Not only do I assist in helping buyers and sellers in there transactions, but I am also an ACCREDITED RESIDENTIAL MANAGERâ Member with the Institute of Real Estate Management. Earning this certification has given me the knowledge to professionally manage residential rentals. With my knowledge and experience, I can assist any buyer, seller, or property owner achieve their real estate goals. Since my market is the beach and resort area I decided to get the Resort & Second-Home Property Specialist Certification. This certification allows me to better assist buyers, sellers and owners who need property management of the second-home at the Delaware Beaches.
I was born and raised in Seaford, Delaware. In 1994, I enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard. My first year was spent on the Coast Guard Cutter Tampa. In 1996, I went to Avionics School, and then was transferred to Kodiak, AK where I became a C-130 navigator. Two years later, I came back to the East Coast to Elizabeth City, NC. After almost 5 years of duty I was honorably discharged and moved back to Sussex County in 2000.
Today I live in Lewes with my wife, Maggie. We love the areas resources like the beach, the local restaurants, and shopping. We love the area and all it has to offer.
As REALTOR®, I am very active in the local board. I have served as MLS Chairman, and currently on the Sussex County Association Board of Directors. In community organizations I am involved in the Sussex Central Ruritan Club and Ducks Unlimited where I have served in leadership roles.
